Honda NSX

Car Bio

The first-generation Honda NSX rose under the banner of the Rising Sun to challenge the dominance of European supercars, blending Japanese engineering precision with pure driving emotion.

Developed with input from Ayrton Senna, it was a bold statement of intent: a mid-engined machine that married supercar performance with everyday usability.

Crafted around a lightweight all-aluminum monocoque chassis – an industry first – the NSX weighed just 1,350 kg. Its low-slung silhouette, pop-up headlights, and fluid lines reflected both aerodynamic purpose and futuristic elegance, while the mid-engine layout ensured flawless balance and agility.

At its heart beats a high-revving 3.0L V6 with Honda’s innovative VTEC system, tuned for linear power delivery and razor-sharp response, the engine rewards those who dare to chase the redline.

And today the NSX carries forward the initial concept in its original development, as the standard by which all other high-performance sportscars are judged.
