McLaren P1

Car Bio

Born from the idea that a hypercar should feel just as thrilling on the track as it is usable on the road, the McLaren P1 was not built to chase records, it was built to redefine them. Unveiled in 2013 and produced in just 375 units, it became an instant icon of hybrid performance and Formula 1-derived technology.

At its heart: a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 paired with an electric motor. The result? Instant response, relentless acceleration.

Its carbon-fibre MonoCage chassis and active aerodynamics weren’t just feats of engineering, they were the reason the P1 could generate up to 600 kg of downforce at 260 km/h. Every surface, every intake, every detail was sculpted by function, not fashion, yet the result remains breathtaking.

All-electric silence in E-mode, and thunder when fully unleashed. The P1 was McLaren’s vision of the future, delivered ahead of schedule.
