With a massive 600 cv and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, the Ferrari Portofino is, in fact, the most powerful convertible to simultaneously offer a retractable hardtop, a spacious trunk and a roomy cockpit, in addition to two rear seats suitable for short distances. Completely new, the chassis of the Ferrari Portofino features significant weight savings compared to the California T that preceded it. Thanks to the extensive use of modern production technologies, all the components of the body and the chassis have been redesigned to be lighter despite an increase in torsional rigidity. The Ferrari V8 turbo, part of the engine family awarded Engine of the Year for two consecutive years in 2016 and 2017, produces 40 cv more than that of the California T. This result comes from the introduction new specific mechanical components and a dedicated calibration of the engine management software, enhancing the characteristic sound of the Ferrari V8, especially with the top down.
